I shared this pastel watercolor card using the My Monthly Hero kit on my blog this weekend:
And today I’m sharing a bold and bright card using the same kit and my most favorite add-ons ever!
I love all the playful images included in the kit and wanted to make another background but one that was a bit bolder and brighter than my first card! Luckily there are two fantastic stencils in the add-ons that were perfect for my vision! I started by placing Nebula Cluster stencil on a panel of Lapis cardstock and blended Cornflower, Indigo, and Nautical ink over the stencil. Then I lifted the stencil and blended the same three colors lightly directly on the panel to soften the stenciled design and add a little more contrast. Then I placed the Star Cluster stencil over the panel and applied a thin layer of Gold Hero Paste over the stencil to create those shiny stars. I removed the stencil and let the panel dry completely.
While it was drying I stamped a bunch of images from the kit and colored them with copic markers. I die-cut them with the coordinating dies and also stamped and gold heat-embossed a sentiment from the kit. Once the panel was dry I adhered the images with foam mounting tape and added a little clear lacquer to the helmets to finish the card!
Finally I’m sharing one more card using a few of the new add-ons!
I decided to keep this one more clean and simple and inked the Celestial Bold Prints with Thistle, Splash, and Pool Party reactive ink cubes before stamping it onto white cardstock. I trimmed it down to a thick strip and adhered it to a frame of gold glitter cardstock. Then I die-cut the Celestial Fancy dies from glitter cardstock and white cardstock (for the moon). I colored the moon with copic markers and then adhered the images to the celestial background with foam mounting tape. I stamped a sentiment from You’re Magical onto a white card base and then added the celestial strip above for a simple but striking design!
And that’s it for me! Head over and pick up your December My Monthly Hero kit and add-ons today before it sells out!
