And today, I’m sharing a watercolored card with the February 2022 My Monthly Hero kit!
To start, I stamped the image and sentiment from the kit with embossing & watermark ink onto black watercolor paper and heat-embossed it with silver embossing powder. Then I used the watercolor dot card included in the kit and watercolored the image with the iridescent colors. I also added a few splatters with the same gold to add a little more contrast on the black. Finally I trimmed the watercolor panel down and adhered it to a silver glitter cardstock base.
And I used two of the add-ons to create a card with a similar feel but with different techniques!
I stamped the Moon Goddess wood block stamp onto a panel of white cardstock with intense-ified black ink. Then I colored it with copic markers. Next I used copic markers and colorless blender to color the galaxy background. I loosely masked off the main image and then splattered the panel with gold metallic paint, iridescent shimmer spray, and white gouache. Then I went over the entire image with my spectrum noir clear sparkle brush for even more sparkle. I die-cut the Cloud Window Fancy Die from black cardstock and adhered it over my galaxy before adding a sentiment from You Sparkle. Finally I added clear lacquer to the moon for a little extra shine!
