I shared this card using the April My Monthly Hero kit on my blog this weekend:
And today, I’m sharing a card using the rest of that pretty stenciled panel with the April 2022 My Monthly Hero kit!
I started by stamping the background stamp onto a panel of Peony cardstock with contour ink using my MISTI. I left the stamp on the lid of my MISTI so that I’d be able to restamp and heat-emboss later. Then I used the kit stencils to stencil the panel. I used Bubble Gum, Raspberry Jam, and Navy ink for my panel. I love gold, navy, and pink together! I let the ink dry and then place the panel back inside my MISTI. I inked the stamp with Embossing & Watermark ink and then heat-embossed it with Gold Glitter Embossing Powder. I trimmed it down to an A2 panel and used the leftover sliver on my countdown card!
I stamped the sentiment from the kit on Nautical cardstock and heat-embossed it with the same Gold Glitter Embossing Powder. Then I die-cut the sentiment from gold glitter cardstock and the outline layer from Nautical cardstock. I adhered the layers together and then added my sentiment with liquid glue to finish the card!
And I used one of the add-ons with the kit to create one more card!
I stamped the beautiful kit background stamp onto a panel of Sand cardstock with Contour ink and trimmed it down to an A2 panel. Then I stamped and colored the cats and hearts from the Mother and Father Animals set with copic markers before die-cutting them with the coordinating frame cuts.
I stamped a sentiment onto the background panel and then die-cut a heart from vellum. I adhered the heart to the background panel and then added my colored images on top to finish the card!
And that’s it for me! I just love this entire kit…there are so many fun ways to use these gorgeous florals!! Head over and pick up your April My Monthly Hero kit and add-ons today before it sells out!

Such stunning cards! I love your use of colour. This month’s blog hop has made me realise how many creative opportunities I am blind to. Your cards in the peony cardstock seem to have a glow to them that would’ve been hard to achieve (I think) otherwise. And your card with the cats is seriously tempting me to get that for myself too.

Oh my goodness! I didn’t realize how very pretty this technique is until I tried it in person when I got my kit! (I mean the first card with the embossed gold). I just love it and am making another right away. Beautiful! Thank you so much for your idea. I was unsure about using the navy, but you are right–it really makes the pink pop! Wasn’t navy and pink a thing in the 60’s? I can see a Barbie doll wearing it!
