I shared this card using the My Monthly Hero kit on my blog this weekend:
And today I’m sharing a card using more of the kit plus some of my favorite add-ons!
I fell hard for the Seashells Fancy Dies and wanted to make them the feature of my card so I die-cut them with watercolor paper and loosely painted them with my Daniel Smith watercolors. I used lots of water to get a soft look and then added splatters when I was finished. I set them aside to dry while I worked on the rest of the card. I die-cut the Swirling Tide Border Fancy Die from Hero Hues Mist cardstock and then blended the edges of a second A2 panel of Mist cardstock with Pool Party and Blue Raspberry Reactive Inks. Then I splattered both panels with white paint and teal watercolor. After everything was dry I also splattered the shells and panels with metallic gold paint.
Once the panels were dry I stamped the sentiment with embossing ink and heat-embossed it with gold embossing powder. Then I stamped the seahorse and coral with embossing ink and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder for a little contrast. I adhered the Swirling Tide Border over the blended panel and then adhered my shells with a mix of liquid glue and foam mounting tape for a little dimension! I love all the different textures and how the gold catches the light when you tilt the card! The add-ons work perfectly with the kit!
And that’s it for me! Head over and pick up your May My Monthly Hero kit and add-ons today before it sells out!

Love your color palette, it is so coastal. The seashells are so realistic and beautiful. Everyone knows no trip to the shore is complete without a few shells.

Love the color palette on the second card. It is so coastal. Those shells look like they just washed up at my feet. Looks like a vacation in a card!
