And today, I’m sharing a bold and moody card using the June 2022 My Monthly Hero kit!
I just adore the mermaid from the kit! She’s so fun to color in so many different ways! I decided to stick with purples and pinks for my card and colored her with copic markers! After I was finished coloring I die-cut her with the coordinating die. Then I added glitter to her eyeshadow and tail for a little extra sparkle!
I created my background by blending Navy, Raspberry Jam, and Rose Madder ink onto a panel of Peony cardstock. Then I swiped my embossing ink pad over the bottom of the panel a few times and sprinkled it with Sand embossing powder to create my sandy ground. Finally I heat-embossed my sentiment with Gold embossing powder and adhered my mermaid with foam mounting tape!
And I used one of the add-ons with the kit to create one more card!
I started by blending Navy and Intens-ified Black ink onto a panel of Lapis cardstock keeping the darker colors around the edges of the panel. Then I stamped, colored, and die-cut three of the sharks from Jawsome Sharks. I adhered them in a loose circle around the blended panel and added the sentiments from the set!
