I shared this card using the My Monthly Hero kit on my blog this weekend:
And today, I’m sharing a daytime scene with a little more coloring using the July 2021 My Monthly Hero kit!
I love that snoozing gnome! I started by stamping him onto a panel of strathmore bristol smooth cardstock with contour ink using my MISTI. Then I carefully fussy cut and placed a mask over the stamped image. I blended Splash, Fog, and Green Apple reactive inks over the panel and then removed the masks. I colored the image with copic markers and then placed it back inside my MISTI and stamped it with versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder for nice crisp black lines.
Next I die-cut the Forest Vines window die and colored it with copic markers. Then I used a infinity circle die from Hero Arts to cut a window from a panel of Sand cardstock. I stamped a sentiment from the kit onto the sand cardstock panel with versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then I adhered the Forest Vines window die behind the sand cardstock and adhered those panels over my blended panel to finish the card! I love all the layers and dimension in this cheery scene!
Finally, I have one more card to share today using some of the add-on sets.
I love all the mushrooms in this month’s add-ons (even though I won’t eat a mushroom in real life, ha) and I started by die-cutting the Mushroom Forest fancy die from a panel of Pitch Black cardstock (which, coincidentally, is FINALLY back in stock at Hero Arts and is THE BEST black cardstock around!) Then I blended Soft Purple, Grape Juice, and Intense-ified Black ink onto a panel of Lavender cardstock to create my background. I spritzed the blended panel with shimmer spray and set it aside to dry.
Next I die-cut the Mushrooms and Ferns fancy dies from Pitch black cardstock and pressed my embossing pad all over them before heat-embossing them with black sparkle embossing powder. Then I tucked the embossed pieces around my frame die and adhered them in place. I created a shaker and filled it with the stardust sequins included in the kit. Finally I added a sentiment from Magical Forest to finish the card!
And that’s it for me! I LOVE this magical release! Head over and pick up your July My Monthly Hero kit and add-ons today before it sells out!
