I shared this card using the My Monthly Hero kit on my blog this weekend:
And today, I’m sharing a clean and simple card with the August 2021 My Monthly Hero kit!
I have a video for this card set that you can watch below or over at my YouTube channel:
IF THE VIDEO IS NOT VISIBLE PLEASE CLICK HERE TO WATCH!
To start I placed the kit stencil over a panel of canary cardstock and blended dandelion bold ink over the entire panel using a blending brush. Then I added creamsicle and fruit punch reactive ink over the outer edges and the inner part of the rays and blended the colors together. I set the panel aside to dry completely while I stamped the sentiment from the kit onto pitch black cardstock and heat-embossed it with gold glitter cardstock.
After the panel was totally dry I placed the stencil over it again and swiped my embossing & watermark ink pad lightly over the stencil in the direction of the ray design. Then I sprinkled the panel with gold glitter embossing powder and tapped off the excess. I also used a clean dry paintbrush to brush away any excess powder before heating. I repeated the process to get a little more glittery gold on the panel! Then I adhered the sentiment with foam mounting tape!
And I have a few more cards to share today using one of the add-on products!
I went a little cardstock happy on this card set as you can probably tell! I started by die-cutting the Sun Flare Window Fancy Die from Hero Hues cardstock in Peony, Azalea, Cherry, Papaya, Canary, Kiwi, Paradise, Lapis, Periwinkle, Lavender, and Amethyst. Then I simply alternated the starting color on each panel until I had created 12 different rainbow cards! I finished them with a sentiment from the kit heat-embossed on Pitch Black cardstock!
And that’s it for me! Head over and pick up your August My Monthly Hero kit and add-ons today before it sells out!
To celebrate the kit release Hero Arts is giving away a $50 gift card as a prize to one blog reader selected from the comments across all of the blogs in the hop so make sure you leave a comment at each hop stop for the most chances to win! Please comment before 11:59PM EST on Sunday, August 8th! You should have arrived from Ilina and Lydia is your next stop!
