Today I’m sharing a card using the Classic kit:
I visited California earlier this summer and got to spend a morning in Muir Woods, north of San Francisco. It was my first time seeing California redwoods and it was truly stunning! I decided to let that experience inspire my card today and I used lots of very soft blending for a sunrise background! I blended light blues and yellows on opposite sides of an A2 panel and let them fade to white in the center. I brought the blue down a bit further than the yellow to give it more of a sky feeling.
Then I die-cut the trees from the kit with black cardstock and adhered them to the blended panel. I finished the card with a sentiment from the kit gold heat-embossed onto black cardstock for a simple but striking design! I think it would be fun to change up the color palette here and maybe do soft pinks and purples for a sunset card or even blacks and dark blues for a nighttime sky!
Finally I used some of the add-ons for one more card:
I used the Golden Poppies Color Layering stencils in yellows and greens to color my design. The stencils are really easy to line up even without the outline stamped first. Then I stamped over the stenciled images with the Golden Poppies stamp and heat-embossed it with black embossing powder. I used the Nesting Rectangle infinity dies to die-cut the panel into two different sized pieces and framed them with black cardstock. Then I adhered that to a white card base and added a bold sentiment heat-embossed in white to finish the card!
