Good morning! Today the design team from The Ton is playing along with the gorgeous mood boards from the In the Mood class from Catherine Pooler and Stamp Nation! This is the board I used:
I love those gorgeous shades of purple and blue! Here’s what I came up with!
I started off by stamping the peony outlines from Wild Peonies with versamark and heat-embossing them with Wow Blue Pearl embossing powder. Then I masked the peonies and stamped the solid leaves from Wild Peonies and Mini Wild Florals with versamark and heat-embossed them with Wow Blue Pearl embossing powder. Next I smooshed some Victorian Velvet, Shaded Lilac, and Dusty Concord distress inks onto my craft sheet and spritzed them with shimmer spray. I wet the watercolor paper thoroughly and did a watercolor wash background with the three colors. After the distress inks were totally dry I took a purple Zig Clean Color Real Brush marker and added a little shading to the peonies. Then I used a clear wink of stella brush pen to blend out the marker.
Next I stamped the sentiment from I Got You with versamark and heat-embossed it with Ranger Silver embossing powder. To finish the card I added some Glass Slippers sequins, trimmed the panel and mounted it to a base of purple cardstock!
Head over to Catherine’s blog to play along with the mood board! And if you love that mood board as much as I do you should check out In the Mood Card Class – From Inspiration to Paper and the Process of Getting You There because the rest of the class mood boards are equally stunning!
Thanks so much for visiting and have a great Monday!
