Good morning! I’m popping in with two more cards to share from the Simon Says Stamp Best Days release! But first, did you see the fantastic Ranger sale going on right now at Simon Says Stamp?! Stock up on alcohol inks, distress inks, distress oxides, and more!!
Today I wanted to play with some of the new dies and create cards with minimal stamping!
First up is the adorable topside bunny wafer die! I own a bunny so this topside view is one I’m quite familiar with. I kept it simple and die-cut the bunny once from white cardstock and once from light pink cardstock. I adhered the pink ear outlines to a piece of grey cardstock and then used foam mounting tape to adhere the white bunny on top. Then I used a double layer of foam mounting tape to attach the white ears and tail. I added the pink nose and then coated the nose and tail and with spectrum noir clear sparkle. I actually went back and added a little adhesive and chunky glitter to the tail to make it extra sparkly!
Then I stamped the sentiment from Oh Bunny onto the same grey cardstock and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder. I layered it over a strip of white cardstock and adhered it to the bottom of my card. Finally I die-cut a few hearts from bright pink cardstock, covered them with a layer of spectrum noir clear sparkle and nuvo crystal glaze and adhered them to the card.
My second card uses no stamping just lots of pretty dies! To start I die-cut my sweet elephant pair many times with white cardstock. Then I used a ruler to set a diagonal line on a piece of white cardstock and adhered my elephant dies to the panel. It’s not perfect alignment but the ruler helped make sure their feet were lined up. I adhered them with regular adhesive so that you’d get the look of the elephants but with a relatively flat background.
Once they were adhered I die-cut the baby elephant from light pink cardstock and popped him up over one of the small elephants with foam mounting tape. I also used a layer of foam mounting tape to pop up his ear. I die-cut the Oh, Baby sentiment using pink cardstock for the thin layer and vellum for the outline. I adhered them together and then added a layer of spectrum noir clear sparkle to the sentiment and pink elephant. Finally I added a few gems to finish off the card!
I do love stamping but sometimes it’s fun to just use dies on cards! 🙂 Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
