Good morning! I’m excited to be a stop on the hop for the Pinkfresh Studio Background Stamp Release Blog Hop! Pinkfresh Studio is debuting nine gorgeous rubber background stamps and I have projects to share using two of them!
First up is the beautiful Floral Shadow stamp! I started by simply blending shaded lilac, wilted violet, picked raspberry, abandoned coral, scattered straw, and wild honey distress oxide inks randomly over a panel of strathmore bristol cardstock. Once I was done blending the edges I splattered the panel with water and then set it aside to dry. Once it was totally dry I stamped the Floral Shadow background stamp with versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder.
Next I die-cut the Hello from black and pink cardstock and adhered them together. I arranged them over a tangle of black thread using foam mounting tape and adhered it to the card panel. I stamped the smaller sentiment from Just Because onto the same pink cardstock with versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder before adhering it to the blended panel to finish the card!
For my second card I couldn’t wait to color the Lemon Lush stamp! If you’re a regular reader you remember that I mentioned a lemon obsession last week! 😉 So to start I stamped the Lemon Lush onto Arches cold press watercolor paper with versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then I taped it to my work surface and watercolored it using my Karin Brush Markers! I added color two ways: the first by coloring directly on the image and blending it out with a clean, damp paintbrush and the second, by scribbling the marker on my glass mat and picking up the diluted color with a damp brush. I just love how gorgeously vibrant these markers are!
Next I die-cut the sentiment from vellum and yellow cardstock and adhered them together. I arranged them on the panel and adhered them with vellum adhesive. To finish the card I added a few yellow enamel dots!
And that’s it! All of the new background stamps are now in stock over at Pinkfresh Studio and this week they’re running a shipping special so head over and shop early for the best selection! I’m sure some of these fabulous stamps will sell out quick!
