Good morning! Today I’m hopping along to celebrate the March release from Pinkfresh Studio and it is full of gorgeous florals!! I’m sharing a card using the pretty Bougainvillea cling stamp!
To start I smooshed distress inks in dried marigold, festive berries, and abandoned coral onto a piece of scrap plastic and then pressed it to a piece of watercolor paper. I repeated the process a few times until I had a soft background. Then I stamped the Bougainvillea cling stamp onto the paper and heat-embossed it with gold glitter embossing powder.
I watercolored the flowers with abandoned coral and festive berries distress ink and the foliage with chipped sapphire and black soot distress ink but realized quickly that I had applied too much color in my first layer and hadn’t given myself much room to go from there. So I switched to using copic markers to add some shading to the leaves and petals. I wish I could have finished the card with watercolors but it’s good to be flexible, right?!
Once my panel was done I trimmed it down to 4″ by 5.25″ and adhered it to a navy card base. I stamped a sentiment from My Favorite Things to Say Volume 2 heat-embossed with gold embossing powder on navy cardstock. Then I added a tangle of gold thread onto the back and adhered it to the panel with foam mounting tape. A few metallic gold sequins finished the card with a little extra sparkle!
And that’s it for me! Make sure to check out the new release and all the giveaway details below!
To celebrate the release, Pinkfresh Studio is hosting several giveaways! They will be giving away the full release on their blog and YouTube channel and ten $25 gift cards!
