Good morning! I had the opportunity to play with the newest collection from Purple Onion Designs featuring a collection from their newest designer, Julian Charlton! I’ll have more to share soon but first up is this card using the fun silhouette stamps!
To start I masked off the bottom of a panel of strathmore bristol cardstock cut to 8″ by 3.75″ with masking paper. Then I blended antique linen, victorian velvet, seedless preserves, and black soot distress oxide ink to create my winter sky. I dried it with my heat gun and then splattered the panel with water and blotted off the excess. After that dried I spritzed it with shimmer spray and splattered it with white gouache. I let that dry completely while I stamped the sentiment onto black cardstock with versamark and heat-embossed it with gold embossing powder.
Once the panel was totally dry I stamped the trees, fox, and squirrel with versamark and heat-embossed them with gold tinsel embossing powder. I also stamped another tree on a scrap of white cardstock, heat-embossed it with the same powder, and fussy cut it. I added a little dimension to my snow banks with copic markers and then adhered my sentiment and tree with foam mounting tape to finish the card.
