Good morning! I’m thrilled to be a stop on the hop for the Pretty Pink Posh November Release blog hop! Have you checked out the new release yet? It’s full of adorable holiday stamps and dies along with some gorgeous mixes! Today I created two products, one is a more elegant card and the other is a whimsical shaped tag! 🙂
I love the look of colored pencil on colored cardstock and thought I’d go in a nontraditional direction for my poinsettia card! To start I stamped the poinsettias and leaves across a piece of teal cardstock with versamark and heat-embossed them with gold glitter embossing powder. Then I colored the flowers with my caran d’ache luminance pencils and left the leaves alone. I focused dark shades of blue towards the center of the petals and blended them out to white.
Next I stamped the sentiment onto navy cardstock and heat-embossed it with the gold embossing powder. I trimmed it down to a label and adhered it to the card with foam mounting tape. Finally I added a few navy nuvo drops to finish the card!
My second project is a holiday tag!
To start I stamped the Caroling Critters and sentiment from Holiday Greetings onto white cardstock with versafine and heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder. I colored them with copics and then masked the images. Next I blended faded jeans and chipped sapphire distress ink onto the background to create a sky and splattered it with white gouache! I removed the masking paper and let the background dry overnight.
Next I die-cut the panel with a large circle die and die-cut the same circle shape three more times from white cardstock. I stacked them together and adhered them to create a thick and sturdy circle. Then I added a little nuvo crystal glaze and glitter to some of the critters’ accessories! Once that dried I piled glitter, sequins, snowflakes, and glitter onto the circle and used a hot glue gun to carefully glue a plastic ornament to the cardstock circle. I held it in place for a few minutes until the glue started to set and then ran my finger around the outside of the ornament to make sure there was no extra glue. I made sure to let the glue dry completely before shaking the ornament so that the shaker elements wouldn’t stick to the wet glue! Finally I added a little ribbon and twine to finish the tag! I love that it can be used as a gift tag (you can write a message on the back of the ornament) but then can be added to a Christmas tree as a decoration!
And that’s it!
There are four $25 gift certificates up for grabs (two winners each day). Winners will be picked randomly from comments left along the blog hop. Comments must be left by 11:59 PM PDT on 11/20/2018 and the winners will be announced on the PPP blog! Here are all the stops on the hop today:

Jess, this is why I subscribe – you come up with the best ideas! I love the non-traditional poinsettia card! The “snow globe” ornament is great too. The coloring on both pieces, while totally different from each other, are both perfection. Thank you!
