Don’t forget to check out the bottom of my post for details on how to win a kit!
Here’s what I created:
To create this card I started by blending alcohol inks onto a piece of yupo paper. Then I die-cut the leaves with the dies from the kit. I also die-cut the wreaths with gold glitter paper and the metallic copper paper from the kit. Finally I die-cut the pinecones using the kraft paper from the kit and used a stylus to pop out the dimensional pieces of the die. I layered them to create a fall wreath and adhered them together. Then I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of watercolor paper and heat-embossed it with copper embossing powder. I used watercolor paper for a textured card base that was off-white and fit the autumn theme a little better.
And here’s my second card:
For my second card I traced a circle onto a piece of white cardstock and then I stamped the leaves around the circle using the rock-and-roll technique on some of the leaves. Once I was happy with the arrangement of leaves I die-cut the circle with a stitched die. Next I trimmed the sides of the white cardstock down by an 1/8 of an inch. I stamped the sentiment on dark red cardstock and heat-embossed it with gold tinsel embossing powder. I layered the white cardstock over the red with foam mounting tape and then added a few sequins under and around the circle.
I can’t wait to make Christmas cards with this set…and I’m already brainstorming how to use it for spring and summer cards as well! 😉
To celebrate the release Hero Arts is giving away one kit as a prize to one blog reader selected from the comments across all of the blogs in the hop so make sure you leave a comment at each hop stop for the most chances to win! If you win and have already purchased the kit you will be reimbursed! Here’s a list of all the stops on the hop:
