Good morning! Today I’ve got a simple pair of holiday cards to share featuring the November 2020 release from MFT Stamps!
I did a little spotlight ink-blending on colored cardstock to show off the new Cable Knit Sweater stencil! On the teal panel I blended peacock feathers, chipped sapphire, and black soot distress oxide ink and on the blue panel I blended chipped sapphire and black soot ink over the stencil. After I lifted the stencil I used a blending brush to blend the same colors lightly over the panel to soften the design.
Then I used part of the Sending Christmas Joy die for one of the cards and paired it with a sentiment from Bitty Holiday Wishes. I die-cut it from the same teal cardstock and adhered it with foam mounting tape over a tangle of metallic gold thread. I heat-embossed the rest of the sentiment in gold on white cardstock and added it on top. I stamped a sentiment from the retired Hand-Lettered Christmas set on the blue panel and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder. Then I added a few snowflakes die-cut from white glitter and silver glitter cardstock to finish the card! I love how cozy the cards look with the fun sweater stencil! And my fellow 90’s crafters might giggle a bit at the subtle ‘S’ design that we all painstakingly learned how to draw decades ago! Do you see it? 😉
And that’s it! I highly recommend checking out the full release! I’m especially excited about Stacey Yacula’s adorable new set and you’ll see a video from me using it later this month! Thanks so much for visiting and have an amazing day!
