Good morning! I’m so excited to share two cards I created using the brand new Simon Says Stamp November Kind Flowers card kit! I always love the card kits and all the versatile ways to use them but this one?! Kind Flowers is HANDS DOWN my favorite kit. The stamp set is awesome and the included papers are GORGEOUS! So here’s what I created:
My first card was so simple but yet so fun to put together! I started by stamping a bunch of the floral sets from the kit onto black cardstock and heat-embossed them with brass embossing powder before cutting them out. Next I stamped the sentiment from the kit onto black cardstock and heat-embossed it with the same embossing powder. I masked off part of the smaller sentiment and added the beautiful scripty word kind instead. Then I trimmed the sentiment down to an inch wide panel. I trimmed the beautiful fabric-like floral paper down to an A2 panel and adhered it to a card base. Then I arranged the flowers around the bottom of the panel and mounted the sentiment label with foam mounting tape.
My second card focuses on the pretty floral kind stamp in the kit!
I started by stamping the floral stamp onto a piece of dark purple cardstock with white pigment ink using my MISTI. Then I left the stamp on the lid of my MISTI and removed the cardstock. I blasted the pigment ink briefly with my heat gun so that it wouldn’t smear and then colored the flowers with colored pencils. When I was done coloring I placed the cardstock back inside my MISTI, restamped the floral stamp with versamark and heat-embossed it with gold tinsel embossing powder. Then I cut it out using my Scan N Cut. I stamped the sentiment onto light purple cardstock and heat-embossed it with gold embossing powder before trimming it down to a skinny label. To assemble the card I adhered a piece of patterned paper from the kit to dark purple cardstock, added the floral die-cut on top, and adhered the sentiment label on top with foam mounting tape. Finally I added spectrum noir clear sparkle to the word kind which gave it a little extra sparkle and shimmer!
I hope this gives you some ideas for the new Kind Flowers kit! Remember, you can subscribe to their no-obligation kits and receive them monthly for $24.95, or purchase them each month for $29.99 (while supplies last). This month, in particular, the kit includes a 6×8 stamp set that is basically worth the subscription cost of the kit alone…that’s not including the die, metallic leaves, stickers, textured papers, 6×6 paper pad, and 8.5×11 cardstocks! I have a feeling this kit is going to sell out VERY quickly so if you’re interested I’d recommend heading over and picking up the Kind Flowers kit as soon as possible! 😉 Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!
