More from the Simon Says Stamp Fluttering By Release

Good morning!  Jess here with a few more cards using the Fluttering By Release from Simon Says Stamp.  You can find more of my cards using the release here and here!  Today I’m sharing two tone on tone creations!

For my first card I die-cut the gorgeous Heart Mandala die with black cardstock and adhered it to a piece of dark grey cardstock.  Then I spritzed the cardstock with the Coral Berry metallic spray from Altenew.  It creates a really fine mist across the cardstock which really sparkles when it catches the light!  I also splattered some of the spray with a damp paintbrush to get larger splatters focused mainly over the mandala.

I stamped the sentiment from Messages for Everyday onto black cardstock with versamark and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder.  I trimmed it down to a thin label and adhered it over the mandala to finish the card.

For my second card I decided to use metallic spray with a stencil instead of a die to create a masculine card.

To start I sprayed and splattered a piece of black cardstock with Antique Gold metallic spray.  Then I placed the Tap Dance stencil over a piece of black cardstock and spread Nuvo Glimmer Paste in Black Diamond over it and let it dry.

Finally I adhered a piece of stick-it adhesive to the back of a small piece of matte gold cardstock and die-cut it with the Happy Birthday script wafer die.  I peeled off the backing and adhered it to the card.  I love how the mix of spritz and splatter creates interesting texture with the stencil.

These are definitely slightly different cards than my normal aesthetic but I really love the way they turned out and I hope they give you some inspiration for your dies and stencils!  Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fabulous day!
