Good morning! The May Simon Says Stamp Card Kit: Kind Heart is now available and it’s PACKED with a ton of fun stuff! There’s not one but TWO stamp sets in the kit, a gorgeous word die, stickers, puffy stickers, hybrid mini ink pads, patterned paper, envelopes, and cardstock…I actually created six cards with the kit in one afternoon and barely scratched the surface of what’s in here! I haven’t even touched one of the stamp sets, one ink pad, or the die yet! And I really feel like all of these cards are totally different from each other which I really love!
The big 6×8 stamp set has some gorgeous hand-lettered sentiments that I allowed to take center stage for the first few cards!
Isn’t that sentiment cute? I started by inking the bottom of this stamp with the included spring rain hybrid ink pad and the top of the stamp with a navy ink pad. I stamped it twice onto one of the included patterned papers using the MISTI so I could get nice even coverage. Then I inked the stamp with versamark and stamped the sentiment again. I heat-embossed it with hologram clear sparkle embossing powder which really picks up the teal and navy blue colors!
I trimmed the panel down and matted it to a dark navy cardstock (it looks black in the photo but it is navy blue) and then added a few cute glossy heart stickers from the kit. Super quick but quite striking!
For the next card I stamped the sentiment and some of the flowers from the kit onto another piece of patterned paper and heat-embossed them with gold tinsel embossing powder. I added a few puffy heart stickers just for a little pop of color. I tilted the above photo so that the sentiment wouldn’t reflect the light but the embossing powder is the same for the top and bottom of the card…just looks a little different in the lighting.
Next I went back to teal and navy for a simple stamped card. I started by stamping the sentiment and large flowers. Then I just filled in the smaller flowers and dots. I’d love to repeat this design with different color combinations!
My next card uses only patterned papers and stickers from the kit and it was really fun to just create a card with NO stamping! Shocking, I know! 😉
My next card used some of the heart stickers for inspiration. I trimmed the audrey blue cardstock and white cardstock included in the kit on a diagonal and adhered it over a piece of black cardstock. I stamped the sentiment and heat-embossed it with gold embossing powder and then used those stickers for a little extra sparkle and shine. It’s hard to see in the photos but the top two stickers have a gold diagonal line dividing the two colors.
I created the look of a table or shelf and used those label stickers to create a row “books.” I love the little terrarium and the coffee pot. I toned down the background patterned paper by placing a piece of vellum over it and then finished the card off with a sticker sentiment!
And I realized after I put everything away that I forgot to take an individual photo of the last card which is at the bottom of the group photo but I again I just used puffy stickers and patterned papers from the kit to create it!
I hope this gives you some ideas for the new Kind Heart kit! Remember, you can subscribe to their no-obligation kits and receive them monthly for $29.99, or purchase them each month for $34.99 (while supplies last). This month, in particular, the two stamp sets and die are basically worth the subscription cost of the kit alone…that’s not including the 8.5×11″ cardstocks, patterned paper, mini ink cubes, stickers, and envelopes! I have a feeling this fun kit is going to sell out VERY quickly so if you’re interested I’d recommend heading over and picking up the Simon Says Stamp May 2018: Kind Heart kit as soon as possible! 😉 Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
