Today I’m sharing two cards created using only kit contents and tomorrow I’ll share another card using a few other supplies along with the kit!
I absolutely LOVE the patterned papers included in this month’s kit including this striking floral black and white piece! I started by trimming it down to 1.5″ by 5.5″ and adhered it to a white card base. Then I added a strip of black cardstock and finished it with the yellow cardstock included in the kit. I was excited to see the glue sponge included in this month’s kit (I got to try it at Creativation and loved the concept). I used it to adhere that tiny strip of cardstock and was pleased with how well it held and with no mess! I also used it for a more intricate card I’ll be sharing tomorrow and you can see how well it holds dies in place! I’m excited to have the glue sponge on my desk for future use!
Then I stamped the adorable bee and colored him with copic markers before fussy-cutting him. I stamped the sentiment onto the yellow cardstock and then adhered my bee with foam mounting tape. Finally I added a little spectrum noir clear sparkle and crystal glaze to his wings.
I wish I could share this next card with you in person because photographs just don’t do that gorgeous shatter rainbow foil justice! I love that the kit includes three cards that are ready to be colored or foiled with the fabulous shatter rainbow foil in the kit! I started by cutting some of the yellow foil down to cover my bees. Then I used a strip of the more red to purple foil to cover the top and bottom of the sentiment. I left the bee trails and ‘let’s chase all the’ without foil and then ran the panel through my laminator with a carrier sheet. I ran it through twice to make sure the foil had good coverage and then carefully peeled back the foil. I trimmed that panel down and adhered it to a black frame. Then I adhered that to a piece of patterned paper included in the kit and finished the card with a few sequins and confetti also included in the Bee Yourself kit!
I hope this gives you some ideas for the new Bee Yourself kit! Remember, you can also subscribe to their no-obligation kits and receive them monthly for $29.99, or purchase them each month for $34.99 (while supplies last). I have a feeling this cheerful kit is going to be quite popular so if you’re interested I’d recommend heading over and picking up the July kit as soon as possible! 😉
And don’t forget to take advantage of the awesome copic sale going on at Simon Says Stamp this month! It’s a great time to stock up on markers and refills for your alcohol ink projects! 😉
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fabulous day!
