Good morning! Just popping in to share one more card from the Simon Says Stamp Celebrate You release! I really loved this set of Suzy’s watercolor prints and have another one to share today, this one utilizing watercolors!
I started by taping the card to a hardboard and then watercolored it with mijello mission watercolors. I worked one image at a time and finished with the grass and sky. When painting images like the trees I’d paint one and then let that dry while I worked on a tree that didn’t touch any wet paint ensuring that I wouldn’t have any unwanted blending or bleeding. Once I was totally done I added accents with a white gel pen along the edges of the images and also gave the sky a few bright stars. I also added chunky and prisma glitter along the clouds and a little crystal glaze to the flames and moon!
Once I was done I trimmed off the taped edges and adhered it to a card base. It’s a little smaller than an A2 panel because I didn’t want a white border. Finally I added a sentiment from Stop Drop Party. I love that the sentiment could be used for a birthday card or just a general encouragement card and the masculine vibe is also great since I don’t have a lot of those in my stash! I actually think I might be sending it to my outdoorsy brother-in-law who has a birthday later this month! 😉
Anyway, I hope this gives you an idea for the watercolor prints! You can see another one I completed from this release here! Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic week!
