Here are two cards I shared yesterday using the new release (find more details about another giveaway here):
And today I’m sharing two more cards using the stunning Gerbera Daisy Background!
I started by stamping the Gerbera Daisy background stamp onto watercolor paper with versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then I taped it to my hardboard and watercolored it with Mission Gold watercolors. I’m always trying to work on my watercoloring so I made a concerted effort to work on shadows and depth. It’s kinda funny but you can see which flowers I painted first because I feel like there’s a definite improvement as I went along. Ha. Once I was finished I let the panel dry completely and then trimmed part of it down to 4″ by 5.25.” I reserved the rest of the panel for another card!
I adhered the panel to a white card base and added sentiments using more products from the new release! I die-cut the Hey from white and black cardstock and then stamped the sentiment from Tiny Words Faith onto black cardstock and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder. I trimmed the sentiment with the sentiment label dies and then adhered both to the panel to finish the card!
For my second card I wanted to create a shaker using the rest of my watercolored background! I started by adhering it to an A2 panel. Then I applied foam mounting tape above and below the watercolored portion. I poured a few sequins from the Fresh Cut Grass mix onto the watercolor panel and then placed a piece of acetate (cut slightly longer than the panel) over the panel adhering it on the top and bottom to the foam mounting tape. I had prescored edges of the acetate and tucked them around the panel and adhered them down with ATG adhesive.
Then I took a panel of black cardstock and cut off 1.5 inches. Then I cut an inch off the remaining panel. I adhered the smaller piece with foam mounting tape above the shaker and the larger piece below the shaker. Finally I die-cut the Hey from white cardstock and adhered it over the shaker portion with liquid adhesive. I decided to leave off the outline so more of the shaker would be visible!
