Good morning! I’m super excited to be a stop on the hop for the Simon Says Stamp Celebrate You blog hop!!
Have you checked out the new release yet? It’s AMAZING!!!

Here are two cards I shared yesterday using the new release (find more details about another giveaway here):
And today I’m sharing two more cards using the stunning Gerbera Daisy Background!
I started by stamping the Gerbera Daisy background stamp onto watercolor paper with versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then I taped it to my hardboard and watercolored it with Mission Gold watercolors. I’m always trying to work on my watercoloring so I made a concerted effort to work on shadows and depth. It’s kinda funny but you can see which flowers I painted first because I feel like there’s a definite improvement as I went along. Ha. Once I was finished I let the panel dry completely and then trimmed part of it down to 4″ by 5.25.” I reserved the rest of the panel for another card!
I adhered the panel to a white card base and added sentiments using more products from the new release! I die-cut the Hey from white and black cardstock and then stamped the sentiment from Tiny Words Faith onto black cardstock and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder. I trimmed the sentiment with the sentiment label dies and then adhered both to the panel to finish the card!
For my second card I wanted to create a shaker using the rest of my watercolored background! I started by adhering it to an A2 panel. Then I applied foam mounting tape above and below the watercolored portion. I poured a few sequins from the Fresh Cut Grass mix onto the watercolor panel and then placed a piece of acetate (cut slightly longer than the panel) over the panel adhering it on the top and bottom to the foam mounting tape. I had prescored edges of the acetate and tucked them around the panel and adhered them down with ATG adhesive.
Then I took a panel of black cardstock and cut off 1.5 inches. Then I cut an inch off the remaining panel. I adhered the smaller piece with foam mounting tape above the shaker and the larger piece below the shaker. Finally I die-cut the Hey from white cardstock and adhered it over the shaker portion with liquid adhesive. I decided to leave off the outline so more of the shaker would be visible!

Your choice of colors and painting are fantastic. Many of the artists on this hop have used the daisy backgrounds but it wasnt until I saw your card that I felt “Ive just gotta have it” Wonderful work.

There is something about that black with the strip of daisy and sequins that has stolen my heart. Gorgeous!!

Your cards are AMAZINGLY wonderful! I really don’t know which floral card I like better –the bold “hey” card or the softer “I love you” design. They are equally stunning and beautiful. Then you have the fun nautical card! How does one make a choice in this situation? I just love them all!! Great job!!

Its been a while since I have visited your blog, and there is sooo much inspiration. I love all of these cards. Especially the white flowers against your amazing coloured and blended background. Pink and orange or one of my favourite colour combo’s. I also really like the strip of floral on your other card. Such a great and stunning layout design. Now to scroll through the rest of your post and get inspired! Thanks so much!
