Well, Stamptember might be the happiest month for stamps but Diecember is finally here and Simon Says Stamp has just released a TON of amazing dies! I’ll be sharing cards all month long using the fabulous Diecember release but I wanted to pop in bright and early to share my first card!
This is a super easy card that could be mass-produced with a variety of different colors! Simon Says Stamp also released an assortment pack of gorgeous glitter papers and I thought they’d be perfect for paper-piecing this new die! To start I die-cut the Sensational Snowflake Collage from a white card panel and from three colors of glitter paper. I adhered the white panel to a white card base and then carefully pieced the glitter paper into the openings.
Next I stamped the sentiment from Merry and Bright onto black cardstock with versamark and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder. I trimmed it down and adhered it over the snowflakes with foam mounting tape. Finally I added a wash of spectrum noir clear sparkle to the sentiment for a little extra shimmer!
Of course these colors aren’t quite traditional but you could easily replicate this design with blues and silvers…reds and greens…or even black, silver, and gold!
