I have lots to share over the next few weeks but I thought I’d pop in with a quick card to celebrate the new release!
I created this kinda moody thanks card using the GORGEOUS new Heart Mandala die! You’ve seen this as a stencil and now it’s available as a stunning die! This die cuts like a dream…one flick of my finger and all the little extra pieces easily popped out! And that’s a total win for me!
Anyway, I started by blending stream, silver mixative, pitch black, and slate grey alcohol inks onto a piece of yupo paper and used alcohol blending solution and an air puffer to move them around. Once I was happy I set it aside to dry and die-cut the Heart Mandala with black cardstock. At the same time I also die-cut the Big Thanks word die from black cardstock and the word outline die from black glitter paper.
Once the alcohol ink was dry I used liquid adhesive to adhere the stencil and sentiment to the alcohol ink panel. Then I trimmed the alcohol ink panel down and matted it on a A2 black panel which was then adhered to a card base! I finished the card with a few silver and black gems for a little sparkle. I ran out of time this weekend but I think I’m going to try this design in different color palettes…I think it’d be equally interesting in pinks and golds with white cardstock or coral and grey with black cardstock! Hmm…
To celebrate the Fluttering By release I’d love to send someone a $20 gift certificate to do a little shopping! To enter, leave me a comment and let me know your favorite item in the Fluttering By release before 11:59PM EST on Sunday, April 15th, 2018 and the winner will be posted on my winners page next week!

Mirella Rogan says
Such a beautiful design, the colour combo is so unusual but so mesmerising! I am unable to choose only one favourite product from this release, I’m afraid, as I love a lot of the new goodies… But let’s say that the butterfly dies are amongst my favourites, as I love anything butterfly-related. And the background stamps… And, of course, the CZ sentiment set!

I started following your post as Your alcohol backgrounds are amazing. I’ve gone and gotten more inks and yupo paper after seeing your work! Great inspiration!

A stunning card. Love the moodiness you created with those colors. Just lovely. It’s a toss up for favorites between Flower Explosion and this heart mandala. Love them. Thanks for the inspiration.

Karen says
WOW……amazing card! I am new to alcohol ink, so please forgive my ignorance, but what exactly is a “puffer” (you said that is something that you used to move the ink around).
Rufus says
I love the die you used today and the triangle stencil! Gorgeous card, aren’t alcohol inks fun!
Samantha Coleman says
I think if I had to choose just one I would choose the heart mandala. Your card is just beautiful and I may have to give in and get some alcohol inks yet.
Monique says
Awesome card …turquoise is one if my favorites

Jessica, you’re right, you have created a card with a definite mood. I think it’s perfect to give to a guy as it does have a masculine look to it. I haven’t purchased any alcohol inks but I am always so impressed when I see them used on a card. I have three faves, but I’ll say the tangled triangle stencil is my first pick. If the exchange rate wasn’t so high between our countries, I’d definitely be purchasing.

My favorite in this release is the Abstract triangels stencil. I love it!

WOW…so hard to just pick one fav! I’m in love with that amazing tree background die, so that might be my favorite. But, there are several more things I’m in love with…the heart mandala die, the center cut flowers, the butterflies, etc.!! Love your awesome card, Jessica!
Dawn Hastings says
Stunning card! I love the center cut burst background stamp.
melissa edwards says
The butterflies are my favorite dies! So precious. I love this card though.
Annalisa says
This does kind of have a moody feel to it, which is cool. Not all cards need to be sparkles and rainbows (not that there’s anything wrong with sparkles and rainbows!) I think it looks like a stormy sea; it’s gorgeous. As for my favorite, I’m not sure, but it might be the center cut flowers. There’s just something really great about that.
ANDREA HASTILOW says
Love, love, loving this card in a brilliant grunge look, amazing, I and lots of my friends love this style.
How do people choose just one favourite out of gorgeous releases like this, I love butterflies and the stitched butterflies and circle butterflies are so delicate, the Mandela Stamps are stunning and so versatile. I think I would choose from them.
