Good morning! I’m super excited to be a stop on the hop for the Simon Says Stamp Fresh Bloom blog hop!!
Have you checked out the new release yet? It’s AMAZING!!!
|
I’ve already shared two cards using the new release (find more details here) and today I’m sharing two more cards!
My first card combines the cute Bunny Wishes with the Tulip collage and an older die!
To start I stamped the bunny, bird, sentiment, and eggs onto white cardstock with versamark and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder. I colored them with copics and then die-cut them with the coordinating dies. The eggs don’t have dies but they’re easy enough to fussy cut! I also die-cut the sentiment with the Sentiment Label dies. Then I blended spun sugar, dried marigold, and picked raspberry distress oxide ink onto a panel of white cardstock for my background.
Next I die-cut the Tulip Collage and older Everglade Collage die from white cardstock and colored them with copics. I layered them together and then adhered my bunny behind them. I adhered that over the blended background and then tucked in the eggs and bird with a little adhesive. Finally I added the sentiment with foam mounting tape! I love the way the scene comes to life with a few copics! 😉
Earlier this week I couldn’t sleep and decided to get up instead of continuing to toss and turn. It was very late so my brain wasn’t quite up to making a card but I thought a little coloring might help wear me out! 😉 I pulled out one of the beautiful prints from Suzy’s So Tweet watercolor prints and colored the tulip, grass, and ladybugs with copics. And then luckily I was able to get to bed. 😉 The next morning I watercolored the background with daniel smith watercolors and added a little spectrum noir clear sparkle and nuvo crystal glaze to the sentiment, tulip, and ladybugs! I love these cards because they’re great to pack for travel or, apparently, to help turn your mind off so you can sleep! And that’s it for me today but I’ll be back next week with more to share! If this is your first time visiting my blog I hope you’ll come back soon!
