Good morning! Two of my most favorite companies, Hero Arts and Simon Says Stamp, have teamed up for a DieCember exclusive, available only at Simon Says Stamp! This cute die is called Christmas Sweater and reminds me of one of my favorite holiday movies, Home Alone!
I created a fun Home Alone themed holiday card using this die along with some other products from Simon Says Stamp and Hero Arts!
To start I die-cut the Holiday Sweater die from cream cardstock and added a little copic shading around the edges. Then I die-cut the sweater again and reserved the star and tree. I colored them with copic markers and adhered them to the sweater. I added a healthy dose of spectrum noir clear sparkle and nuvo crystal drops to the sweater and set it aside to dry.
I stamped the Simon Says Stamp Christmas Sweater background stamp onto schoolhouse red cardstock and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then I stamped a sentiment from the Hero Arts Offbeat Holiday Messages onto cream cardstock with versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder. I trimmed it down with the sentiment label dies and adhered it to the red panel with foam mounting tape. Once my sweater was dry I used foam mounting tape to add it, too! And now I’m off to watch Home Alone again! 😉
Thanks so much for visiting and have a fabulous day!
