Good morning!! It’s time for another STAMPtember exclusive and today it’s one of my favorite companies: Hero Arts!! Vintage Real Flowers is a beautiful floral silhouette set with fun scripty sentiments! If this is your first STAMPtember all month long Simon Says Stamp will collaborate with your favorite stamp companies to produce exclusive sets! These sets are ONLY available until they sell out and will not be restocked. Most collaboration sets sell out EVERY year so I highly recommend snagging yours early!
Here’s what I created!
I really enjoy these distress resist techniques as you can see a similar card here but today I decided to play with a slightly more vibrant color palette! To start I blended cracked pistachio, broken china, and faded jeans distress oxide ink over a panel of strathmore bristol cardstock. I splattered the panel with water, blotted off the excess, and let it dry completely. While that was drying I stamped the sentiment onto black cardstock with versamark and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder before trimming it down to a thin label.
Once it was totally dry I stamped several of the silhouettes from Vintage Real Flowers onto the panel with versamark and heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder. Then I went back over the panel and blended evergreen bough over the cracked pistachio area and blueprint sketch over the broken china area. I also added a little chipped sapphire at the top of the panel. Then I splattered the panel with water again. I also added splatters of white acrylic paint, chipped sapphire distress oxide ink, and cracked pistachio distress oxide ink for lots of variation in colors and textures! Once everything dried I finished the card by adding the sentiment with foam mounting tape. I considered adding sequins or gems but decided that it had enough going on! 😉
Remember, Vintage Real Flowers is only available until it sells out so don’t wait too long! 😉 Thanks so much for visiting, have an amazing day, and Happy STAMPtember!!
