Good morning! I am excited to introduce the next exclusive Stamptember collaboration set, Rain or Shine, from Mama Elephant! Simon Says Stamp’s exclusive collaboration stamp sets are available for a limited time only – while supplies last. Once these sets sell out they will not be restocked again. So if you love this set I highly recommend placing your order soon because I anticipate that it’s gonna sell out super quick!!
I might have squealed when I opened the mail and saw this set…the little flower umbrellas…the bunny….the turtle! EEK! So the first thing I did was sit down and color everything with copic markers!
For my first card I blended chipped sapphire, blueprint sketch, and peacock feathers distress ink onto a piece of white cardstock and then splattered it with water and metallic silver paint to create a rainy background. Then I die-cut the stitched clouds from Landscape trio with matte silver cardstock and white glitter cardstock and layered them over my blended background. I stamped the sentiment and raindrops on the background with versamark and heat-embossed them with silver embossing powder. Finally I added my cute little bunny and turtle to the scene with foam mounting tape!
I went a slightly different direction for my second card! 😉
I decided that the little floral umbrellas were going to be more of the Mary Poppins’ floating variety for my second card! I blended spiced marmalade, picked raspberry, salty ocean, and wilted violet distress oxides onto white cardstock to create an ombre sunset! After it dried I stamped the sentiment with versamark and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder. Then I die-cut the scalloped frame from the Park Avenue dies and the clouds from Landscape Trio with glitter cardstock and adhered the clouds behind the frame. Then I adhered acetate behind the frame and built up a border for my shaker with a double layer of foam mounting tape.
I filled my shaker with a variety of satin, iridescent, and clear sequins in shades of pink, silver, blue, and purple. Then I adhered the dog and cat to the top of the shaker with ATG adhesive.
I hope this gives you some inspiration for this adorable Rain or Shine set! Remember, these won’t last long so head over to Simon Says Stamp and snag yours now!!
