Today I used the same Fall Frenchies set but created a much more vibrant autumn-themed card! I really love the contrast between the two cards!
Amusingly enough the background for this card was originally going to be the background for yesterday’s card but I realized quickly that it was a little too loud for my fawn-colored frenchie. But I decided not to throw it away and I’m really glad I kept it because it’s perfect for this bold black and white pup!
To start I stamped the dog with versafine and heat-embossed him with clear embossing powder. I colored him with copic markers and then die-cut him with the coordinating dies before adding accents with a white gel pen. I also stamped the sentiment from Fall Frenchies onto black cardstock with versamark and heat-embossed them with gold embossing powder before trimming them down to thin labels!
To create this background I blended Mustard Seed, Dried Marigold, and Ripe Persimmon distress oxide inks onto a panel of white cardstock. I splattered it with water and blotted off the excess. Then I placed the Tumbling Leaves stencil over the panel and spread Gold Glitz Glitter Gel over the stencil. It was my first time using this product and I’m in love! It spreads so easily and is blindingly bright and sparkly!! I let that dry completely and then adhered my pup and sentiments. Finally I finished the card with a few Autumn Leaves sequins!
