Good morning! I’ve been waiting for the Heart Mandala stencil from Simon Says Stamp to be restocked before sharing my these cards and video! It was an INCREDIBLY popular item from the Cherished release so if you like the look of the stencil I’d snag it quick! 😉
You can watch the video below or at my Youtube channel!
I loved Kristina’s video watercoloring through a stencil and decided to try a slightly messier version! 😉
I used repositionable spray to adhere my stencil to watercolor paper and then applied distress inks through the stencil. I blotted and repeated the process several times and then added metallic gold paint dauber to the center of the stencil and gold spray before removing the stencil.
I die-cut the sentiment from Hero Arts with black cardstock that had a backing of stick-it adhesive and adhered it to the card. Then I finished it with a sprinkling of sequins from Lucy’s Little Things and Pretty Pink Posh!
And here’s a second card in cool shades of blue and purple!

I love, love, love these cards! I can’t wait to give this a try.
Thanks for the tip (I hadn’t thought of it) of dipping the sequins and embellishments in adhesive, rather then putting down drops (which sometime splatter) on your finished card. Sometimes it’s the little things that are a big help 🙂
