Good afternoon!! It’s time for another STAMPtember exclusive and today it’s the HIGHLY anticipated release from Tim Holtz!! Tim’s set is a must-have for your Halloween crafting and it’s a great bundle with stamps and stencils! If this is your first STAMPtember all month long Simon Says Stamp will collaborate with your favorite stamp companies to produce exclusive sets! These sets are ONLY available until they sell out and will not be restocked. Most collaboration sets sell out EVERY year (especially Tim’s) so I highly recommend snagging yours early!
Here’s what I created!
If you know me, you know that I have an insatiable sweet tooth so this bird was really speaking to me! 😉 I started by stamping the bird onto the panel of kraft cardstock with copic-friendly black ink. Then I blended tea dye, vintage photo, ground espresso, and black soot distress oxide ink around the panel keeping it light around the bird. Once I finished blending I placed a post-it note mask over the bird and splattered the panel with water a few times. I blotted off the excess and dried it with my heat gun. Then I added splatters of black soot distress oxide reinker and Ranger mica sprays in tarnished brass and antiqued bronze.
Once the background was totally dry I trimmed it down and adhered it to a black card base. Then I removed the mask and colored the bird with copic markers in shades of E70, E71, E74, and E77. I used Y35 and Y38 for his beak and feet and R35 for the candy in his feet. I added googly eyes to give him an even crazier look and then added a little spectrum noir clear sparkle to his feathers. I added a sentiment label white heat-embossed on black cardstock and finished the card by adding crystal glaze to some of his feathers for a little extra shine! Definitely out of my normal wheelhouse but I kinda love how he turned out! And now I want some candy! 😉
Remember, Tim’s release is only available until it sells out so don’t wait too long! 😉 Thanks so much for visiting, have a fabulous day, and Happy STAMPtember!!
