Good morning! Today I’m honored to be hopping along to celebrate the beautiful Shoot for the Stars release from Tonic Studios! This set was inspired by my amazing friend, Maria, and it was so much fun to work with! The Shoot for the Stars bundle contains a 6×8 stamp set with coordinating dies and stand-alone sentiment and shape dies! This is a perfect set for graduation cards, encouragement cards, or just when you want to make something REALLY pretty!
This whole bundle just screamed watercolor galaxy at me so that’s what I created!
I used Mijello Mission Gold watercolors in black, pink, teal, blue and purple to create a loose wash on a piece of Arches cold press watercolor paper. While the paint was still wet I went over the colorful spots with my Hydracolour metallic and shimmery watercolors for a little extra sparkle. I let the panel dry and then added splatters of Gansai Tambi gold and white metallic watercolor.
Once my panel was totally dry I stamped the stars from the set with versamark and heat-embossed them with white embossing powder. Then I stamped the sentiment on black cardstock and heat-embossed it with gold embossing powder. Next I die-cut some of the stars (I LOVE how the stars are slightly different shapes!!) from my favorite Tonic gold glitter cardstock. I adhered the sentiment over a tangle of metallic gold thread with foam mounting tape and then finished the card by adding the gold glitter stars! This card is SO sparkly when it catches the light!!
The Shoot for the Stars bundle is now available exclusively at Tonic Studios so head over and snag yours!
To celebrate the release Tonic Studios is giving away a $50 gift card and the Shoot for the Stars bundle as a prize to one blog reader selected from the comments across all of the blogs in the hop so make sure you leave a comment at each hop stop for the most chances to win! Please comment before 11:59PM PST on June 2nd! You should have arrived from Michelle and this was your last stop! If you’re just getting started head to Maria’s blog to start the hop!

OOh OOh OOH!!! really pretty look
Jess, I just LOVE this galaxy. I don’t have Mijello water colors, so I don’t know if I have such brilliant pinks and blues, but I’m going to try…. And I love this stamp set! I’m glad there’s a hop associated with it — I’ll go back and see what everyone else has done! Thanks!
Jessica, What a great idea to mix it up. I, too, love that there are diff shapes & sizes of stars. You using the white embossing powder along with the gold glitter CS & the gold on black sentiment… Well, it just illuminates that sky you did. It is AMAZING & MY FAV OF THE HOP. Just WOW!!! I don’t usually make it to the end of a hop. So glad I stuck it out on this one…subscribing to you.
I love the contrasting colours the dark contrasted with the pink. One beautiful card!
