Good morning! I am excited to help celebrate the new Garden Party release from Tonic Studios! You might know Tonic mainly for their fabulous embellishments and amazing tools but now they’re adding gorgeous stamps to their line!! I’ve been head over heels for my alcohol inks recently so I decided to go in a slightly different direction today with these pretty stamps!
I started by applying copic refills to a simple white tile you can find at any hardware store. I used isopropyl alcohol to move the ink around and puffed it with a camera air puffer! I kept the ink to a corner and left a lot of white space for a more clean and simple design. I also applied gold glitter paint to the edges of the tile for a finished edge.
I let it sit for a few hours until it was the ink was totally dry to the touch. Then I lightly applied powder from my powder tool to remove any residual stickiness from the ink. Then I inked up that big gorgeous floral arrangement from Botanical Burst with clearmark embossing ink and stamped it carefully onto the alcohol inked portion. You want to be careful because the ink can be very slippery on the tile and it’s easy for your hand to slip and smudge the ink. After I stamped it I heat-embossed the tile with Gold Enchantment glitter embossing powder. Then I used a stiff paintbrush to buff away any leftover powder from my powder tool. I ran out of time (and good outdoor weather) to finish my tile but I’ll be sealing it and adding resin soon to create a beautiful heat-safe coaster for my craft room! 😉
