Good morning! Today I’m excited to be hopping along to celebrate the gorgeous Christmas Rose release from Tonic Studios! This beautiful set was designed by my amazing friend, Maria, and it was so much fun to work with! The Christmas Rose bundle contains a 6×8 stamp set with coordinating dies and stand-alone sentiment and shape dies! This versatile set has tons of options to create a variety of holiday cards!
And here’s what I created!
I love unusual ink blending combos for cards and thought this one would be fun for a Christmas card! I started by stamping the floral image with versafine and heat-embossing it with clear embossing powder. I colored it with copic markers and then die-cut it with the coordinating dies. I used R000, R01, R30, R32, and R35 for the flowers and BG70, BG72, BG75, and BG78 for the leaves. I also die-cut the sentiment from black cardstock and welsh gold glitter cardstock (of my favorites from Tonic!!) and adhered them together. I also die-cut two holly leaves from the same gold glitter cardstock.
Next I blended a background using distress oxide inks in tattered rose, abandoned coral, and aged mahogany. I splattered the panel with water and metallic gold paint and let it dry. Once it was totally dry I stamped the pine sprig from the set onto the panel with embossing ink and heat-embossed it with gold glitter embossing powder. I adhered the floral image and sentiment with foam mounting tape and then tucked in the holly leaves. Finally I added a few metallic gold sequins to finish this cheery Christmas card!
And that’s it! The Christmas Rose bundle is now available exclusively at Tonic Studios US so head over and snag yours today!
