Good morning! I’m back to share another card using products from the newest Simon Says Stamp release, Believe in You!
I love the new flower dies from the release and decided to use the Sunflower Stem to create a purply-pink daisy! I die-cut it from arches watercolor paper and used a little temporary adhesive to tape it to my glass mat. Then I watercolored it using mission gold watercolors. I let each layer dry before going back to add more color! Once I was done I let it dry completely and then curled up the edges of the petals and leaves slightly with my fingers.
While it was drying I stamped the Scallop background onto white cardstock with versamark and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder. Then I blended a little seedless preserves distress ink over the edges of the panel fading to paler purple a little off-center. I also stamped the sentiment from Clean Line Everyday onto white cardstock with versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder before trimming it down to a thin label. Once the flower was totally dry I popped it up on the scallop background with foam mounting tape and added the sentiment. It’s hard to tell in the photo but I also added crystal glaze to the center of the daisy for a little shine to finish the card!
Thanks for visiting and have a great day!

Lovely card, Jess – I’ve been watercoloring on die cuts a lot recently and don’t even bother to adhere them to my glass mat using Tim Holtz watercolor paper and haven’t had any problems
