Good morning! Just a quick card to share today! I recently received a Brother Scan N Cut (early birthday present!) and I’m in love! I’ve owned a Cricut and I currently own a Silhouette Cameo and neither is as intuitive or easy to use just straight out of the box. I also LOVE the fact that I don’t have to hook it to my computer, run across the house to the scanner, or email myself photos first. It’s just EASY!
The cuts aren’t 100% perfect but 1) it’s a heck of a lot better than my fussy-cutting, 2) it’s way faster than my fussy-cutting, and 3) it’s 10x better than what my Silhouette was doing with way less work on my part!
So for this card I used the Tim Holtz Flower Garden stamp set, stamped and heat-embossed the flowers, cut them with my Scan N Cut, and finally watercolored them with my Zig markers! To create the card I did a light watercolor wash on the background and added gold splatters with a Hero Arts spray. Then I adhered the flowers with a combination of foam mounting tape and my ATG gun. The sentiment was stamped from a Mama Elephant stamp set and heat-embossed with gold embossing powder. I popped up the sentiment with foam mounting tape and added a little bit of red twine and a few gold metallic sequins from The Ton!
Can you tell I’m ready for fall?! 😉
Thanks so much for visiting and have a fantastic Friday! And make sure you check back next week…lots of exciting stuff happening: the fourth release from The Ton, a brand new collaboration at A Blog Named Hero, and a super exciting announcement next Thursday! 🙂

This card is so beautiful! Congrats on the Scan N Cut, too! If they would just come down in price, I would totally cave, lol!

Just gorgeous! This stamp set arrived at my house a few weeks ago, but I haven’t had time to ink it up yet.
