Just a quick card share today…I’ll be back later with my monthly solo post for A Blog Named Hero!
I recently picked up the Memory Box Long Stem Lavender die and have been wanting to find a little time to play with it. I’ve been cleaning up my scrap pile of paper and found a few scraps of watercolor paper that were the perfect size for the dies. I painted one piece with Dusty Concord distress ink and the other with Forest Moss distress ink. Once they were dry I die-cut the flowers and stem.
To assemble the card I took another scrap of watercolor paper and brushed it with very diluted Dusty Concord distress ink. Then I splattered it lightly with Dusty Concord distress ink and Pewter pearlized water. I die-cut the Simon Says Stamp sentiment from dark purple card stock and used the same card stock for the card base. I used Ranger Multi Medium Matte to adhere the lavender pieces to the card and then went over them lightly with a clear Wink of Stella brush!
And on a side note…I was thrilled to see that my rainbow shaker card was chosen as one of Virginia’s Top 10 Favorites and I was the lucky random winner of a Pretty Pink Posh gift certificate! Great start to a long Wednesday!! Thanks Virginia and Paulina! 🙂
