Good morning! Today we’re starting the fourth challenge for Where Creativity Meets C9 and our theme is Winter! You can find all the details and the rest of the design team’s creations here!
We are sponsored by the fabulous Concord & 9th and one lucky random entry will receive a $25 gift certificate for a Concord & 9th shopping spree and our favorite entry will be asked to guest-design for a future challenge!
I wanted to create a floral card with a wintery feel…and at the last minute I decided to make it a shaker, too! 😉
I started by stamping the GORGEOUS floral stamp from Hello Lovely onto watercolor paper with versamark and heat-embossed it with silver sparkle embossing powder. I stamped it several times using different parts of the stamp to cover the entire panel. Then I colored it with zig clean color real brush markers. I used various shades of blues and greys to color the image and convey an icy, wintery scene. Once the panel was colored I went over some of the flowers with my spectrum noir clear sparkle brush to add shimmer to the petals.
Next I die-cut the word ‘Joy’ from the upper left part of the panel and backed it with acetate. I added a double layer of foam mounting tape around the word and filled it with sparkling clear sequins and white, silver, and clear beads. I sealed up the shaker and finished my card by adding the rest of the sentiment heat-embossed onto dark blue cardstock with silver embossing powder.
I’m really happy with the way it turned out…I hope it reminds you of winter!
And now it’s your turn! The challenge ends on December 29th and I can’t wait to see what you’ll create! Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook and Instagram for more design inspiration throughout the month! Thanks so much for visiting and have a fabulous weekend!

Rendered completely speechless, Jessica! Stunning. Gorgeous. Outstanding. In awe! Question if you have a chance to answer: which set of Zig markers did you use – 12, 24, 36, 48 or 60? I have the 12 but ‘feel the need’ to add more….Your opinion would be valued!
