Good morning! I am so excited to be a stop on the hop celebrating the November release from Waffleflower Stamps! Today I’m sharing a card using the absolutely adorable Holiday Thanks set!
I love this set for a variety of reasons but one thing that I think is really neat is that if you stamp it on a vertical card base and crop out the Christmas tree it can work for any gift-giving occasion! As you can see I decided to go in a birthday direction with my bear! I stamped him onto watercolor cardstock with versafine and heat-embossed him with clear embossing powder. I also stamped the sentiment with versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder.
I taped the panel to a hard board and then watercolored him using my Mijello Mission Gold watercolors! I actually painted him while I was at a craft retreat a few weeks ago so this was an exercise in trying to paint/focus while talking, laughing, and just being distracted in general. Ha. As a result, some of it isn’t quite as smooth as I would have liked but again, it was good practice surrounded by ridiculously talented crafters who intimidate the bejeezus out of me! 😉 I am looking forward to coloring this stamp again this month during the coloring challenge and putting more of a holiday twist on it! 😉
To celebrate this release, Waffleflower is giving away three $25 gift certificates! Leave comments on all the hop stops for the most chances to win! Leave a comment before 11:59pm ET on November 12th and the winners will be announced on the Waffleflower blog on November 14th. You should have arrived from Rebecca’s blog and Caly is your next stop!
Thanks so much for visiting and have an amazing day!

I just love the watercolour you did with the shading. Such amazing control of where you want the colour to go. Your cards are stunning! And this image is so cute! I love how it fills up the whole card and really takes the guess work out for placement. Something I sometimes struggle with.

Very nice. I like your coloring take on the card. You could stamp the bird inside to carry the message through.

Sometimes I think that’s good for me: crafting with a bunch of distractions where I can’t focus too hard on what I’m doing. It helps me not obsess over minuscule details and just go with what happens. Also I craft a lot slower, but that’s a different problem. I really like your take on this stamp set, and I love how it works for all seasons. Thanks for sharing!
