Good morning! Today I have a fun video to share using products from the December release from Waffle Flower! And it’s kind of a special video too as it is the first stamp set I’ve owned that really speaks to me on a personal level!! 🙂
You can watch the video below or over at my YouTube channel here!
That harp!!! I legitimately swooned when Nina showed me the design! Yep, fell HARD for this one!
To start I stamped the cute harp-playing pup onto white cardstock with versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder before coloring it with copic markers. I also stamped a second one just with regular intense black ink. When I was done coloring I die-cut them with the coordinating die. I decided to make it a little interactive so I applied adhesive to the stamped (but not colored harp) and then ran a heavy duty black thread along the inside of the harp. The die cut image still shows you the beginnings of each string so it’s easy to line them up. Once I had added all the strings with thread I applied adhesive to the back of the colored harp and adhered the harps together, sandwiching the thread between them. You can’t really “pluck” the strings but you can run your fingers along them which is kinda fun!
Next I blended a panel of spun sugar, worn lipstick, abandoned coral, and picked raspberry distress oxide ink. I splattered it with water and sprayed it with shimmer spray. Once it was dry I stamped my sentiment and music notes with versafine and heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder. I adhered my harp with foam mounting tape and then liberally coated the harp and music notes with spectrum noir clear sparkle. Finally I added a little crystal glaze to the music notes and floral wreath to finish the card! If you watch the video you’ll see a quick photo of my personal harp which closely resembles the coloring I chose for this card! 😉
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fantastic weekend!
