Good morning! I’m so excited to be a stop on the hop for the fantastic November release from Waffle Flower! Here’s a quick look at all the gorgeous products they’re releasing this month! Again they’ve divided the release into several bundles that will save you 10%!
Here’s what I created today using the adorable Merry Wreath set!
I also created a video that you can watch below or over at my YouTube channel!
To start I used my MISTI to stamp the wreath, fox, bow, and scarf. It’s easier to see with the video but I line all my layers up on the lid of my MISTI and then stamp them at once, rotate my panel, and stamp again to get several images completed at once! I’ll include the specific inks I used in the supply list below. After I finished stamping all the images I die-cut them with the coordinating dies!
Next I blended a panel of blue cardstock with chipped sapphire and black soot distress oxide ink concentrating the darkest colors around the edge of the panel. After it was totally dry I splattered it with water, blotted off the excess, and then splattered the panel with white gouache. I focused the paints on the top left portion of the panel. I let it dry completely and then stamped the sentiment from Merry Wreath in the bottom right and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder.
I added all the elements of my scene with a mix of regular adhesive and foam mounting tape for a variation in dimension. I added spectrum noir clear sparkle to the scarf and bow and then added a few nuvo drops in gloss white. I finished the card by adding nuvo crystal glaze to some of the berries on the wreath!
And that’s it! I hope my card inspired you today and I’d love to know your favorite products from the November release!! 😉
To celebrate the blog hop, Waffle Flower is giving away $25 gift certificates to THREE lucky winners. Perfect winter sky… I always hang my big ol’ wreath the day after Thanksgiving. It still is a thrill to see the lights come on after dark. Been doing it for 35 years now!! Nicely done.
