Good morning! I am so excited to be a stop on the hop celebrating the gorgeous March release from Waffleflower Stamps! Today I’m sharing two cards using products from the release!
I am just head over heels for the gorgeous Bouquet Builder 3 set! The main arrangement is just breathtaking and the extra flowers are perfect for adding to the arrangement! I stamped the bouquet onto white cardstock with versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder before coloring it with copic markers. I used a variety of pinky-purples and yellows for the flowers and greys for the foliage. I love using neutrals for the “greenery” to allow the flowers to pop! I die-cut the arrangement with the coordinating dies and then added a few accents with a white gel pen.
Next I blended a little black soot and hickory smoke distress oxide ink onto the bottom 2/3rds of a panel of slate grey cardstock. I let it dry and splattered it with white gouache. While the gouache was drying I stamped the sentiment from Bouquet Builder 3 onto white cardstock with versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder. I trimmed them down to thin labels and adhered them over the bouquet. Finally I adhered the bouquet to the grey panel with foam mounting tape and added a few white enamel dots to finish the card!
I went in a very different direction for my second card using the cute Be Him critters! 😉 I stamped the bunny onto white cardstock with versafine and heat-embossed him with clear embossing powder before coloring him with copic markers. I die-cut him with the coordinating dies and added a few accents with a white gel pen. Then I blended a panel of strathmore bristol cardstock with peacock feathers, mermaid lagoon, and blueprint sketch distress oxide ink. I splattered the panel with water and then added black splatters on a diagonal from the top left to bottom right. I set that aside to dry while I worked on the rest of the card.
Next I stamped the bunny’s glasses with versafine on vellum and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder before die-cutting it with the coordinating die. I also die-cut a frame using the older Stitched Layers die set. Next I stamped the sentiment from the Label Sentiments set onto black cardstock with versamark and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder before die-cutting them with the coordinating dies. I tucked my bunny into the frame and adhered the frame to my blended panel. I also added a layer of foam mounting tape behind the bunny’s head to pop him up slightly. I adhered the sentiments with foam mounting tape and finished the card with a few black enamel dots.
And that’s it! I hope you enjoyed my cards! 🙂

I love how you mix colors and neutrals in both these cards. The blue background on your second card is a great way to offset all the neutrals of the sentiment and the bunny. And those glasses are just adorable. Thanks for sharing with us!
