Good morning! I’m so excited to be a stop on the hop for the May release from Waffle Flower! I used the gorgeous new Flying Butterflies die and Mini Slimline Layer dies with some easy distress ink watercoloring for today’s card! I have a video for this card set that you can watch below or over at my YouTube channel:
IF THE VIDEO IS NOT VISIBLE PLEASE CLICK HERE TO HEAD TO YOUTUBE TO WATCH!
To start I used spun sugar, picked raspberry, salvaged patina, peacock feathers, tumbled glass, and mermaid lagoon distress inks to watercolor a background. I splattered the panel with water, distress ink, and metallic gold paint. Once it was totally dry I die-cut it with the largest Mini Slimline Layer die. I die-cut the second largest rectangle from the Mini Slimline Layer set from white cardstock and then die-cut that panel with the Flying Butterflies die. I added a few splatters of gold paint to the white cardstock to tie it to the watercolored panel!
Next I adhered the white cardstock to my watercolored background. I die-cut the Flying Butterflies die from gold glitter cardstock and vellum so I adhered the gold glitter cardstock outline to the panel and then added a random assortment of butterflies. I folded them in half and then used a thin strip of adhesive to adhere each butterfly to the watercolor background. I love how you see peeks of the colorful background around the butterfly wings! To finish the card I added a sentiment from Jar Sentiments stamped on black cardstock and heat-embossed with gold embossing powder!
And that’s it for today! I’d love to know your favorite products from the May release!!
