Good morning! I’m so excited to be a stop on the hop for the Christmas in July release from Waffle Flower! Here’s what I created today using the gorgeous Poinsettia set!
To start I took a piece of red cardstock and blended black soot distress oxide ink around the edges keeping it lighter towards the center of the panel. I let it dry completely and then stamped the sentiment and poinsettias randomly across the panel with versamark and heat-embossed them with gold tinsel embossing powder.
Next I used R59, R89, and 100 copic markers to add a little shading to the flower petals. I kept them darker in the centers and lighter towards the outer edges. It’s subtle but provides some interest across the card! Finally I finished the card with a few metallic gold sequins for a little extra sparkle!
And that’s it for today! I’ll have more to share later this month but I hope my card inspired you and I’d love to know your favorite products from the July release!! 😉
To celebrate the blog hop, Waffle Flower is giving away $25 gift certificates to THREE lucky winners. You can leave a comment on this blog and along the hop by 11:59pm ET on July 12th, 2020 for your chance to win. Winners will be chosen at random from the comments left on any of the posts in this blog hop and will be announced on the Waffle Flower blog on July 15th, 2020. You should have arrived from JJ and Kathy is your next stop!
Also, just a quick note…Waffle Flower didn’t anticipate the popularity of this release and several products are currently sold out; however, more stamps will be restocked around July 9th and dies around July 21st!! You can also find the products in stock over at Simon Says Stamp!
Thanks so much for visiting and have a fantastic day!
