Good morning! I am so excited to be a stop on the hop celebrating the innovative August release from Waffle Flower Stamps! Today I’m sharing a card using the pretty Bouquet Builder 5 stamp set and showing how I’m going to start using the Color Combos and Color Swatch stamps and dies to create inspirational “moodboards”!
To start I stamp the Bouquet Builder 5 using a light no-line coloring ink with my MISTI. Then I leave the stamp on my MISTI and color it with copic markers. I have been trying to branch out into new color combinations so I used several Bs and BVs with my favorite E combo! Then I placed the panel back inside my MISTI, re-stamped it with versamark, and heat-embossed it with gold tinsel embossing powder.
Next I stamped a sentiment from Label Greetings onto light purple cardstock with versamark and heat-embossed it with gold tinsel embossing powder. I adhered it to the panel with foam mounting tape and finished the card with a few light purple sparkly gems! As I was working I’ll admit that I was REALLY not thinking that this color combination was going to work…and I was really apprehensive about adding the gold embossing powder. But once I was finished I was really happy with how it turned out. And I also realized that there’s a good chance I’d never remember this combination without some sort of visual record! 😉 Thank goodness for Waffle Flower!
I decided to use the new Combo Swatch and Color Combo stamps and dies to create a moodboard featuring the colors I used. I’ll add it to a binder ring and as I discover new combinations I can add them to the ring to give me a great resource for inspiration in the future.
I stamped the Color Combo stamp onto a piece of white cardstock and colored it with my three copic combinations: E70, E71, E74, E77, E79; B21, B23, B24, B26, B37, B39; and BV01, BV02, BV13, BV04, and BV08. Then I placed the panel back in my MISTI, stamped the outline with versamark and heat-embossed it with gold tinsel embossing powder. I die-cut it with the coordinating Color Combo die. Then I stamped the Combo Swatch with intense black ink onto white cardstock and die-cut it with the coordinating Combo Swatch tag die. I adhered the Color Combo square onto the tag and die-cut the tag topper with the light purple cardstock I used on my card. Normally I’d handwrite my info on the tag but my handwriting is awful so I decided to type it instead so it’d be easier for you to read! 😉 I’m excited about creating more of these moodboard tags to use in the future!
And that’s it! I hope you like my card and this gives you another idea for how to use these great Color Combo and Color Swatch stamps and dies!

What a great idea! I LOVE your tag! I love this color combo tag idea but have been trying to figure out how to execute it. Like you, I’m not crazy about the idea of handwriting it. The neat freak inside of me LOVES your typed up version. Could I ask how you managed to type onto that tag?
