I’m sharing my top 7 Waffle Flower projects including a new one I created just for the occasion!
I’m a sucker for all underwater themed stamps in general, but Mermaid Mail is SO cute! And it’s PACKED with lots of great images for creating a scene! To start I stamped the images with copic friendly black ink and colored them with copic markers. I die-cut them with the coordinating dies and then added a few accents with a white gel pen.
Next I ink blended a background using distress oxide inks in blueprint sketch, mermaid lagoon, salty ocean, and tumbled glass. I splattered the panel with water and set it aside to dry. Once it was dry I stamped a sentiment from Under the Sea Sentiments with versafine and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder. I die-cut the Under the Sea Panel die from white cardstock and blended the ripples, sandy bottom, and plants with peacock feathers, antique linen, tea dye, cracked pistachio, and lucky clover distress oxide ink. I also blended the coral dies with abandoned coral distress oxide ink (appropriate, right?). I taped off the borders of the die with tacky tape and then pressed an embossing ink pad to the ripples. I heat-embossed them with a clear sparkly embossing powder. Finally I adhered my blended background to the panel and created my little underwater world! I finished the card with a little spectrum noir clear sparkle!
And here are my other Waffle Flower favorites!
