Good morning! I’ve got a pair of cards to share using the adorable whales from the brand new Wild Things Hero Arts release!
My first card couldn’t be any simpler! And amusingly enough I created a series of these cards for Monday Multiples but before I could get them photographed a friend bought all but one of them. Oops. So yes, imagine that this is in multiples with various shades of teal, aqua, and blue! 😉 I started by cutting several Hero Arts layering papers down to A2 panels of 4.25″ by 5.5.” Then I simply tore the top edge to create the look of a cresting wave. I adhered the paper to a white card base and then used my MISTI to stamp the whale and sentiment with intense black ink! Using the MISTI really helps to stamp the whale cleanly since he overlaps the torn edge and the card base. I really love the CAS look of this design…it really allows that adorable whale to shine!
My next card uses the fabulous Color Layering Whale. I made a much busier card using this set last week that you can find here but I also wanted to do something a little more CAS to show off the stunning images in the set! I used Cornflower, Indigo, and Navy Hero Arts inks to stamp the whale, bubbles, waves, and scuba diver. I finished the card by stamping the sentiment with navy ink and adhered it to the card with foam mounting tape.
Lots of white space on these cards (which is unusual for me!) but I really like how they highlight the images! Have you shopped from the new release yet? What were your favorite sets? Oh, and don’t forget to hop along with the creative team for a chance to win one of three $25 gift cards! You can start the hop here!

Your creativity just floors me. That seemingly simple first card is perfect and gender neutral, to boot. And that second card makes me happy just looking at it.

Whale, aren’t these awesome (sorry…had to!). For someone who is terrified of water, it’s amazing how smitten I am with these whales (and all the HA ocean/sea-themed sets!). Multiples, marvelous!
