Good morning! Today we’re starting the second challenge for Where Creativity Meets C9 and our theme is Watercolor! You can find all the details and the rest of the design team’s creations here!
We are sponsored by the fabulous Concord & 9th and one lucky random entry will receive a $25 gift certificate for a Concord & 9th shopping spree and our favorite entry will be asked to guest-design for a future challenge!
And here’s what I created for our Watercolor theme:
I’ve been wanting to play with the pretty Blossom die and thought it’d be fun to watercolor it! I painted shades of blue, pink, and purple onto a piece of watercolor paper with my mijello mission gold watercolors and let them dry completely. I applied a piece of stick-it adhesive to the back of the watercolor and then die-cut the paper with the Blossom die. I like to use stick-it adhesive with delicate dies instead of messy liquid glue!
I stamped the sentiment from Brushed Blossom onto a white card base with versamark and heat-embossed it with silver embossing powder. Then I splattered a little silver paint on the panel and let it dry before adhering the watercolored die. Finally I added a sprinkling of sparkling clear sequins to finish the card!
And now it’s your turn! The challenge ends on October 29th and I can’t wait to see what you’ll create! Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook and Instagram for more design inspiration throughout the month! Thanks so much for visiting and have a fabulous weekend!

Gorgeous Jess! I’m sure that background was spectacular before it was cut with the beautiful die. Love the colors, thanks for sharing and inspiring.
