Good morning! I am so excited to join Shay, the amazing Winnie & Walter design team, and other guests for a fun blog hop celebrating the 4th Birthday of Winnie & Walter! I created two cards for the hop following some of the challenges they’ve been posting as part of their big birthday month! I’m a little weird so I like to try to see how many challenges I can combine in a card and one of my cards fits four challenges and the other card fits three challenges! 😉
Both of my cards fit Taheerah’s Comeback challenge because they’re both loosely inspired by this pretty card from Shay! And they both fit Shay’s Four challenge!
My first card also fits Crystal’s Repetitive Stamping challenge and loosely fits Gayatri’s Inspiration challenge (I had a hard time finding a darker red pigment ink to match her darkest color). But I loved the colors in her challenge and wanted to use them to create my card. I used pigment inks to get a nice bold crisp look and stamped the word ‘happy’ from the In a Word: Happy set using Lollipop, Blush, and Pink Lemonade ink on white cardstock. I used my MISTI so I could get precise alignment of my sentiment and so I could restamp if it wasn’t perfect! 😉
Next I stamped the word onto white cardstock with versamark and heat-embossed it with gold sparkle embossing powder before die-cutting it with the coordinating die from In a Word: Happy Cutaways. I stamped the rest of the sentiment from the set onto white cardstock with lollipop pigment ink and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder before trimming it down to a label. I adhered them to the card with foam mounting tape and then added a few gold sequins to finish the card! Four colors, four sentiment words, four sequins! 😉
My second card fits Shay’s Four challenge again but this one also fits Kelly’s Use Your Scraps challenge, and Lydia’s Die challenge! The dies were die-cut from a leftover scrap of an alcohol inked background from this video.
I used four alcohol ink colors to create the background (not including the gold foil) and of course I die-cut the word ‘happy’ four times from the In a Word: Happy Cutaways set! I adhered those to a white card base and then die-cut the ‘birthday’ from In a Word: Birthday Tiles Cutaways with gold glitter cardstock and then adhered them to my card with foam mounting tape! Again I finished the card with a sprinkling of gold sequins because you can never go wrong with sequins! 😉
To celebrate the fourth birthday of Winnie and Walter, four lucky commenters randomly selected from the comments across all of the blogs in the hop will each win a $40 gift certificate! Make sure you leave a comment at each hop stop for the most chances to win! Please leave your comments by 11:59 PM CST on February 28th! Here’s a list of all the stops on the hop:

Beautiful use of sentiments as the focal points here. I love how the happys (that hurts to type that way, but I think that’s technically correct) pop in the alcohol inks. And the embossing just puts the party into the cards. Thanks so much for sharing!
